About Queen City Locals
We’re a Charlotte-first guide and directory that helps you discover great local spots—by neighborhood and category. From coffee and patios to shops, services, and events, we make it easy to plan something great and support small businesses.
Our Story
Hi, I’m Christopher Thompson. I started Queen City Locals to make it simpler for neighbors to find and support the best of Charlotte.
After years working with local businesses, I saw two big gaps: residents wanted trustworthy, organized recommendations—and owners needed more visibility without complicated fees or pay-to-play games. Queen City Locals brings both sides together in one clean, curated hub.
Queen City Locals is a project of Palmetto Media Group, my Charlotte-based marketing company. We built this platform to help locals discover great spots and give small businesses a fair, simple way to get seen.
